Mike Macchione
So why the Big Spot? Well, essentially this is what my name means. So there you go. I’m a creative director in NYC and really would like to see how many content driven sites I can manage before my Carpal Tunnel Kicks in.

Big Spot, Big heart, big talent, big house and even a bigger friend. That is Mike Macchione. A man that about 3 years ago gave a new perspective to my life in NYC.
On my first day working at C24 Advertising & Design my first assignment was to help out Mike who was, along with Claudine Gendron, practically in charge of all the creative development going on in the studio. That was not an easy day for me, but Mike gradually embraced me as a coworker to share and vibe with, and from there he became my best friend in town. We grew up professionally a lot by sharing our knowledge in Design and by finding ways to expand it. We shared different cultural and social points of view in life and it wasn’t too long until I was positive I would not only be delighted to work with Mike but also to be his close friend.
Lots of things have happened, we’ve done many things together and I have had the honor to share very important moments in this kind and hairy man’s life, especially with his beloved Krista too. Now that I learnt (almost) everything about baseball and the Yankees, I know that Mike feels that my life is better and makes more sense. Well, surprisingly enough I do too.
I am in Barcelona now happy to have with me all the knowledge and skills I took from Mike (I hope I won our last Ping Pong match!) to impress the catalan people and to know we keep sharing sincere friendship and passion for design and photography with no expiration date on it.
And I hope he will have a section here to see his image galleries because he can shoot. He has some outstanding shots that he will hopefully put together one day in a little exhibit.
My man, I still think that it’s too bad you and I were not in Napoleon Dynamite. Let alone Nacho Libre… Encarnasion and Deb might have had second thoughts in their lives.
